I know what many of you are thinking, “who cares” what’s going on in the middle East, it doesn’t affect me one way or another. Well folks, I beg to differ, and if you will spend a few minutes here to educate yourselves to the following facts, perhaps you may change your mind, because YOU will be directly affected. We are on the threshold of horrendous events in which the world has never seen, nor will ever see again.
Biblical scripture and prophecy is one-hundred percent accurate, one-hundred percent of the time, and is unfolding right before our very own eyes. It is readily apparent we are ‘at’ or near what the Bible calls “The Seven Year Tribulation”. Just one quick brief example to get us started on the accuracy and inerrant Word of God in scripture before we delve into Psalm 83: and a middle East war.
Isa 17: 1 (KJV) The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. Jeremiah 49: 23-27 has more to say about the fate of Damascus, Syria also.
It is said, “if you want to find out what happened yesterday, read the newspaper. If you want to find out what is happening today, turn on your TV. If you want to find out what is happening tomorrow, read your Bible”.
Have you seen the devastating pictures and video of what Damascus and the surrounding areas look like today with the war in Syria, and the players involved? It's laying in ruin and it’s going to get worse, much worse. Just as the Bible states!
Damascus, Syria is the oldest continuously occupied city on earth, for at least the last 5,000 years of history. This possibly could be the trigger or flashpoint that ignites the apparent Psalm 83 war by an organized inner circle of Muslim nations, to try and drive Israel into the sea, and a nation no more to be remembered.
It could be that author and Biblical expert Bill Silas discovered that Psalm 83 was not only a prayer, but also a future prophecy pertaining to Israel and the end-times. Many Biblical scholars and Bible experts like; Dr. Chuck Missler, Gary Stearman, Hal Lindsay, Billy Crone, Josh Peck and Thomas Horn concur with Bill Silas’s discoveries. It’s Biblical and fits very nicely explaining how the players and conditions set up the conditions for the Gog and Magog attempted invasion of Israel, as greatly detailed and outlined in Eze 38: and 39:
A brief background about the author of Psalm 83: Most competent Biblical scholars credit Asaph with writing Psalm 83: among other Psalms. Asaph was a prophet, poet and was one of King David’s and King Solomon musicians along with Heman and Jeduthun. Asaph was also called a seer.
Make no mistake, war is coming to Israel, and quite possibly the United States of America. More on that later on. Many good Christian scholars are divided on a so called prerequisite war prior to the biblical Ezekiel: 38-39 Gog – Magog invasion. Often referred to as “The Psalm 83 War”, then ultimately the final war, Armageddon. Further, the scholastic camp that believes the “Prerequisite War” will occur are sub-divided on when it will occur, before or after the harpazo (rapture of the church). Nevertheless, the timing apparently is very close to either side of the harpazo [caught up – Rapio in Latin - rapture].
Based on my Biblical studies, trusted scholars opinions and world events shaping up, I'm of the opinion an Israeli war must occur as a precondition to the Gog / Magog invasion, to set up the conditions outlined in Ezekiel 38 & 39. Here's my reasoning and the conditions necessary prior to the Gog - Magog invasion:
Israel's borders are surrounded by nations and terrorist groups that want nothing less than to “wipe Israel off the map” and drive them into the sea. It's a mistake to represent Israel's surrounding enemies as “Arabs”, they are Muslim's. They constantly advocate and vow to drive Israel into the sea and erasing them as a nation, to remember them no more. That's a fact beyond dispute.
It is conspicuous Israel's immediate surrounding bordering neighbors and peoples (Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan surrounding Israel and Hezbollah, PLO, Palestinian refugee camps, etc.), bitter enemies of Israel, are not associated nor named with the Gog / Magog (outer ring of nations ONLY) invasion in Eze 38: - 39: scripture? Where are they, and what happened to them, why are they not involved? Perhaps they were dealt with and previously defeated prior to the Gog / Magog invasion?
If you subscribe to the later day “two war theory”, it appears the two wars have totally separate objectives and goals and could occur any day now. With Russia and China currently propping up the Syrian regime in increasing numbers and a buildup of war equipment, ports and bases, under the pretense of fighting ISIS, things are getting interesting and dangerous indeed. Russia's Putin and his propaganda minister have recently threatened the United States with a preemptive nuclear strike if we don't stay out of their affairs and mind our own business so to speak. That's scary folks, Russia is the 'bear' coming to life again and the 'King of the North'.
The Prerequisite War [the inner ring of nations] goal is “to wipe Israel off the map and into the sea”, and the Gog / Magog war [outer ring of nations] goal is “to take a spoil and plunder”. Ezekiel 38:11 describes Israel living safely, in un-walled villages, at rest dwelling safely, without walls, bars or gates prior to the Gog / Magog invasion. That certainly is not the case today with their 400+ mile high security fence / wall and surrounded by hostile nations bent on their destruction, shooting in massive amounts of mortars, missiles and the general terrorism that is frequently occurring. When are they not being attacked by their enemies? That's not living securely.
I would postulate based on my eschatology that the Israeli Defense Force [IDF] will make a preemptive strike on Iran [Persia - Elam] to disable its nuclear program building nuclear weapons. Or being at the intersection of three geological fault lines and the history of the region experiencing large earthquakes, God may cause a massive earthquake that will destroy the nuclear site.
I also believe the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) will make a nuclear preemptive strike on Egypt's Aswan Dam at the Biblical site of Syene, as detailed in Ezekiel 29: 10. Perhaps this is also when Damascus, Syria becomes an uninhabitable heap of ruin? In the Gog / Magog invasion in Ezekiel 38:13 Sheba [Yemen] and Dedan [Saudi Arabia], Israel’s enemies, are not participants but spectators. I also wonder why?
It would appear a prerequisite war victory for Israel of her surrounding 'inner ring' enemies, would set the stage and conditions described in Ezekiel 38: & 39:. Although one has to be cautious and not dogmatic in his hermeneutics when scripture is not crystal clear on the subject. But the more that transpires and unfolds, the more the picture becomes clearer. But I digress...
Daniel 12:4 (KJV) But thou O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
The mysteries of the Bible that have been hidden from us have become understandable in our generation, our eyes are being opened. What previous generation could even have imagined watching world events unfold immediately in real time via iphone, computer, TV, etc. [the killing of the two witnesses and laying dead for three days]. Human tongues being instantly consumed before the body even drops to the ground [nuclear detonation], etc. etc.
Where is America in end-time prophecy?
As a Christian and a patriotic American living in the purported world's only superpower, it's only natural to ask; where is America in all of this? You would think as a superpower, the United States would be mentioned in Biblical end-time prophecy if we were still around and capable? But the Bible is pretty much silent on that question and involves a lot of unsupported speculation and guess work. The following is postulation by many fine scholars:
Eze 38:13(KJV) Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
The above verse pertains to the Gog - Magog (Russia, Iran and allies) invasion of Israel. Most scholars agree that Sheba is now Yemen and Dedan is now Saudi Arabia, but who is the mysterious Tarshish? It's the general consensus by many Biblical scholars, Tarshish is now England [Britain]. Many seriously suspect the "young lions" mentioned could refer to the United States based on our history and separation from England.
If that speculation is correct, it either means we are incapable of, or elect not to get involved with this invasion. I would suspect the former over the latter based on several postulations.
Much speculation and commentary has been given on this and we can only guess with little scriptural support. Ezekiel 39: 6 (KJV) And I will send a fire on Magog , and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Isles are generally referred to as far away lands in scripture. Are the isles described possibly the United States? We are certainly living what I would call carelessly. This sort of sounds like maybe a nuclear missile exchange between Russia and possibly US., but that's conjecture on my part. If that turns out to be accurate, perhaps it's something akin to the 1960's Cuba missile crisis and something goes terribly wrong? Or perhaps our nation has collapsed due to natural disasters, multiple terrorist strikes, an electromagnetic pulse (EMP), an economic collapse, civil war, a combination of disasters, only the Lord knows. But evidently the US. is inconsequential in the end-times and becomes only a spectator?
One thing comes directly to mind pertaining to the United States. To paraphrase a quote from a great Christian evangelist Billy Graham, “if God doesn't judge the United States soon, he owes an apology to Sodom and Gomorrah”.
One thing is for certain, we have kicked God out of our lives, moral standards, law and have abandoned Him. Nationally we have delved into the depths of unrepentant sin and depravity and legalized evil and calling it 'good'. I believe our long suffering Lord God has withheld our overdue judgment, perhaps because of our historical support and safe haven for HIS chosen people, Israel. And now we are abandoning Israel and trying to divide that tiny land God covenanted to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob forever and ever, Israel.
As a nation, we have crossed the threshold of abominations just like Sodom and Gomorrah did. We were once a God fearing nation that was so greatly Blessed, until America turned their back on God and kicked Him out of our schools, courts, government and lives.
Anyone remember this guy and what he said back in 1781?
"God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever." - Thomas Jefferson
Please pray for the peace of Israel and the healing of our land.
HOW CAN I RECEIVE THE FREE GIFT OF SALVATION?
Receive Jesus' death for your sins. Romans 10: 9-10, (KJV). "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Repent and confess your sins. A powerful, personal response to the gospel is "repenting" or feeling sorry for our sins, confessing them, and turning away from them. Acts 2: 37-38, (KJV). "Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? (38) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
1 John 1:9, (KJV). "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Receive Jesus' life. Surrender your life to God, and let Christ live in you. Galatians 2: 20, (KJV). "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
It's in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 5: 17, (KJV). "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Rejoice, for you are now a child of God! John 1: 12, (KJV). "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
